Dr. Cristobal is the founder of the Texas Ear Clinic. His practice focuses on Otology/Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery, treating pediatric and adult conditions of the ears, balance system, temporal bone skull base, and related structures of the Head and Neck.

Dr. Cristobal was recently appointed Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Otolaryngology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine. He collaborates in the training of physicians in the John Peter Smith Family Practice residency program. He is proud to be able to cooperate with Tarrant County-Project Access. Dr Cristobal is member of the Texas Medical Association, Tarrant County Medical Society and Fort Worth Surgical Society.

He completed the Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgery Certification by the University of Pittsburg- Department of Neurosurgery in 2009. He obtained his fellowship in Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston in 2008. He completed his Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Department of Otolaryngology in 2006, and his General Surgery internship at the University of California Los Angeles in 2001. Dr. Cristobal received his Ph.D. degree in Neurobiology from the University of California Los Angeles in year 2000 and his Medical Degree from the University of Navarra School of Medicine in Pamplona, Navarra, Spain in 1993.

Dr. Cristobals’ interest in the diseases of the ear and balance lead him to complete a PhD in Neurobiology achieving several research awards and grants such as the NRSA-NIH Fellowship for research on the Inner Ear Cell Regeneration. He holds a great amount of research publications and presentations in the field of hearing, vertigo and ear cell regeneration. Dr. Cristobal was awarded with several Academic awards such as the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society membership, a lifelong honor signifying a lasting commitment to scholarship, leadership, professionalism and service that confers recognition for a physician's dedication to the profession and art of healing. His current research focuses on outcomes with implantable hearing devices, as well as management of sudden hearing loss.

Dr. Cristobal enjoys educating patients about their diseases and actively engages and involves them in all decisions throughout their care. He works closely with Cook Children’s Audiology and Speech Therapy Programs.
